Common Applications of Drone Surveillance
Aerial Surveillance is used to track or gather information on people or businesses from a safe distance in the sky. Listed below are some common uses of aerial surveillance
- Competitive intelligence gathering
- Safety and security
- Private investigation
- Search and rescue
- Journalism

How Does It Work?
Security and surveillance drones offer a mobile aerial view of any property that land-based and stationary cameras would otherwise not be able to provide. If someone is under surveillance and is on the move it would be impossible for them to leave the view of the drone. Drones also have the ability to be programmed to fly and land automatically, meaning a drone can take-off, offer surveillance to an area and then land again all without the need of a pilot controlling it.
